Body and SoulFor the first time exclusive tours in small groups for art enthusiasts followed by coffee are being offered for the „Blickachsen“ exhibition. They take place in the Schlosspark, the park of the former residence of the Landgraves of Hessen-Homburg. Today these extensive park gardens are crowned by the Baroque castle, which was built between 1680 and 1685. A landmark is the free-standing keep, dating from the 14th century. The Schlosspark itself was re-designed in the second half of the 18th century, retaining the Baroque sculptures. „Blickachsen 7“ makes even greater use of this enchanting location than previous exhibitions, and enriches it through the careful placing of contemporary large-scale sculptures and installations. The intensive discussions in these small group tours are specifically intended to cater for your personal wishes and requirements. We hope you will enjoy a leisurely walk through the beautiful Schlosspark in the company of an expert guide to classical and current movements in art, culminating in a refreshing coffee break together in which you will have the opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss what you have seen with the tour guide. The tour itself takes approximately 90 minutes. The coffee and discussion afterwards can be expected to take approximately an hour. The meeting point is in the lower courtyard of the castle (access via the gateway in Herrngasse). The fee for groups of up to 12 people is 180 EUR (including an exhibition booklet per person). Coffee and cakes are paid separately in the café. The tours can be booked through Galerie Scheffel on: +49 - 0 61 72 - 2 89 06.
